Brownie Treat
My ultimate brownie recipe:
When it comes to satisfying your sweet tooth, there's nothing quite like the all-time favorite – brownies. These little squares of delight have it all: a gooey, chocolatey center, crispy edges, and endless possibilities for tasty twists.
Brownies are a dessert superhero, winning the hearts of people around the world. Whether you're pairing them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or enjoying them with a hot cup of coffee, brownies are the ultimate comfort food that can turn any moment into a pure indulgence.
Here is my recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup high-quality chocolate chips (milk, dark, or a combination)
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- 1/2 cup caramel or peanut butter chips (for extra indulgence)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper or grease it with butter.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stovetop. Allow it to cool slightly.
3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
5. In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
6. Fold in the chocolate chips, chopped nuts (if using), and caramel or peanut butter chips.
7. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
8. Bake the brownies in the preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake, as it can result in dry brownies.
9. Remove the baking dish from the oven and allow the brownies to cool completely in the dish.
10. Once cooled, cut the brownies into squares or rectangles and serve.
Tips for making perfect brownies:
1. Use good quality chocolate and cocoa powder for a rich and flavorful taste.
2. Don't overmix the batter to avoid developing too much gluten, which can result in a denser texture.
3. Customize your brownies by adding additional mix-ins like marshmallows, crushed cookies, or shredded coconut.
4. For fudgy brownies, bake them until the toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. For a more cake-like texture, bake them until the toothpick comes out clean.
5. Let the brownies cool completely before cutting to allow them to set and firm up.
6. Dust the cooled brownies with powdered sugar or drizzle with melted chocolate for an extra touch of decadence.
